WHO WE ARE

St. Barnabas Orthodox Church began quite humbly in the mid-1980’s as a home fellowship or house church. It was part of a group of over 100 home fellowships across the country formed by men who had left Campus Crusade For Christ in search of the early church model of the New Testament. OUR MINISTRIES
Saint Barnabas Orthodox Church has a robust variety of ministries that serve our parish as well as those in our local community and internationally. We also support several missionaries in various parts of the world.

BOOKSTORE: The St. Barnabas Kh. Lynn Bookstore is open Sundays after Divine Liturgy and by appointment. The Bookstore stocks books for children and adults on Orthodox theology, spirituality, Church history, and a variety of icons, cards, CD’s, incense and candles to enhance the journey and the home for prayer.

CHURCH SCHOOL: St. Barnabas’ Orthodox Christian Education is designed and taught to raise our children in the Church, nurturing every person in the life of personal communion with the Holy Trinity and to bear joyful witness to God’s loving and redeeming work in the world. Classes serve children of the parish, ages 3-18 years old.

MEAL TRAIN: The Meal Train provides meals for those that are in need of help with meals for a period of time. This includes those that are homebound, sick, have recently lost a loved one, or have new babies. The Meal Train offers not only meals, but emotional and spiritual support for the recipients.

MISSIONARIES & MORE: The Missionaries & More team is responsible for the on-going education of parishioners to the numerous missionary projects we support, along with promoting the various missionaries, the development of new missionary projects and opportunities for parishioners, and the coordination of visitations to St. Barnabas by missionaries, and more.

MONTHLY FOOD DRIVE: For over 35 years St Barnabas has collected food, clothing and hygiene items for the homeless and less fortunate in our community. We are always looking to encourage parishioners to bring food for this program and for more people to help collect and distribute the food to agencies in our community that are organized to help those in need.

MUSIC MINISTRIES: The Music Ministries at St. Barnabas consist of our choir and chanters. Click here to see how they support our worship services each week .
